Barbara Liftman has been practicing law in Central Massachusetts since 1991. A graduate of Brandeis University and Suffolk University Law School, Attorney Liftman got her start working as an associate attorney for the firm of Weinstein, Bernstein & Burwick, P.C. where she spent 15 years learning from some of the best trial lawyers in the state.
Based in Worcester, Barbara Liftman represents clients throughout Massachusetts in a broad range of legal matters including family law issues, personal injury claims, employment discrimination cases, civil and business litigation, and estate planning and administration.
In her 25 years of practice, Attorney Liftman has litigated numerous cases in the Worcester Superior Court, Worcester Probate and Family Court, Worcester District Court and Worcester Housing Court and has significant appellate experience before the Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Court of Appeals. At the federal level Ms. Liftman has also represented clients in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court. Ms. Liftman regularly practices in the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Massachusetts Land Court, and the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board.
